A Career in Europe 

Spend a day at the National Opera Studio in an event hosted by Opera Prelude. 

Andrew Dickinson will bring his insight into the German Fach system and European Operatic World. A tenor with over 10 years experience as both a House Tenor for Deutsche Oper Berlin and a guest in houses around the world, Andrew has lectured on starting a career in Europe across conservatoires and summer Programmes since 2021. 

A unique opportunity to discover what you need to know about what German houses expect of you, how they might cast compared to the UK and what they could be looking for.

The day will commence at 11.00 with a presentation by Andrew. This will be followed by an opportunity to participate in or observe live auditions. Andrew will use these to demonstrate how German Opera Houses will classify singers. There will be multiple opportunities for Questions and Answers

This event is for young opera singers.
