We started the year with our baritone Young Artists at centre stage, with one recital from Peter Edge in London and another from Hugo Herman-Wilson in Henley.
October News
October was a busy month for Opera Prelude! On the 24th, we hosted our second OperaWorks, a professional development event bringing together young singers and established industry leaders for a day of talks and seminars.
June News
This month saw two summery recitals on the Opera Prelude calendar. The first, A Bouquet of Song, was held in London and saw Catherine Hooper, soprano; Peter Edge, baritone and Xavier Hetherington, tenor perform a verdant selection of songs and arias evoking the warmth and abundance of a summer’s garden. Kaoru Wada played piano, fabulously as ever. The singing and playing was delightful, and made for a wonderful morning at the Garrison Chapel in Chelsea.
March News
We had a wonderful morning in The Garrison Chapel, London with Maestro Renato Balsadonna. He spoke about conducting Verdi’s masterpiece Rigoletto. Catherine Hooper, soprano, Anna Cooper, mezzo soprano, Charles Styles, tenor and Patrick Keefe, baritone all gave stellar performances.

We have had a wonderful February with a recital by Milly Forrest in Henley and an evening of Baroque in London which was such a lovely event we have decided to repeat it in Henley in November

Joanna Harries, mezzo soprano began the year with our first lecture recital at The Garrison Chapel in Chelsea. An extremely entertaining and informative morning.
