Opera Prelude’s intergenerational outreach programme, See Golden Days, is now in its third year and continues to grow in scope and passion. We bring top-quality performance to audiences that would otherwise struggle to access it, focusing on care homes and day centres in London.

For the past three years, Opera Prelude has also supported the Chiltern Centre, a facility providing relief care for children who require 24-hour support and their carers. We do this through giving concerts at the Kenton Theatre in Henley, the fourth-oldest working theatre in the country. A share of the profits from these concerts is donated to the Centre, enabling them to continue their important work.  Our future plans are to expand our programme further into educational performance partnerships.

Many of our Young Artists are also passionate musical educators, and as part of our commitment to bring opera to new audiences, we believe that the earlier the start, the better.
